Most boxes on a shelf are rectangles. A pyramid box isn’t. It has a square base and four triangular sides that meet at a point, so it stands out without needing a loud design. The shape works best for small, light items like a few truffles, a pair of earrings, a bath bomb, or a handful of candy.
We make each pyramid box from a single die-cut sheet. It’s scored, folded, and on most styles glued at one side seam, then shipped flat. When you’re ready to pack, you pop it open, drop the product in, and close the top. No tape needed. Since the sides slope inward, the box holds less than a cube with the same base. That’s why it suits gifts where the look matters more than the space inside.

Sizing a pyramid box works a little differently than sizing a regular box. You give us the base width and the height to the tip. But because the walls lean in, the space gets narrower as you go up. An item that fits the base can still hit the walls halfway up.
The easiest way to get it right is to measure your item at its widest and tallest points and tell us what it is. For truffles, let us know how many pieces go in and whether they sit in paper cups. We’ll work out a base and height that fits, then send a digital PDF proof and a 3D mockup so you can check it before we print. If you already have a pyramid box template, send it over and we’ll work from that.
SBS Cardboard and Kraft Pyramid Boxes
We make pyramid boxes from two stocks, in thicknesses from 14pt to 24pt. Thinner board folds into sharper points and works well for small favors. Thicker board holds its shape better on larger gift boxes.
SBS (Solid Bleached Sulfate) is a bright white cardboard with a smooth surface. Photos, fine text, and brand colors print clean on it, which is why most luxury confectionery packaging uses it.
Kraft is unbleached brown board with a natural look. Like our other kraft boxes, it suits rustic weddings, handmade goods, and eco-minded brands, and it’s recyclable when printed with water-based inks.

- Interlocking Top Tabs: The four triangle tips fold in and lock together. It closes securely without glue and opens easily.
- Petal Top: The top is cut into curved flaps that fold over each other like a flower. It has a softer look that suits weddings and baby showers.
- Ribbon-Tie Punch Holes: We punch a hole near each tip so you can gather them with ribbon or twine. This is the classic wedding favor look.
- Hot Foil Stamping: Gold or silver foil on a logo, name, or date catches the light and reads as premium.
- Emboss/ Deboss: Embossing raises part of the design, and debossing presses it in. Both add a texture you can feel.
- Die-Cut Window: A small cut-out on one side shows the truffles or favor inside without opening the box.
