Premium Finishing with Quality Material & Add-ons

We use high quality material with premium finishes and add-ons to craft a custom box for your product

Kraft Kraft

With a natural rustic brown color, our rugged and eye-catching kraft cardboard is one of the best eco-friendly packaging solutions. It also reduces carbon footprint and is recyclable when used with water-based inks.

Corrugated Corrugated

Our classic corrugated cardboard boxes are durable and lightweight due to their flute design. It offers sturdy support while making a bold statement and impactful visual appeal.

Cardboard Cardboard

Our classic cardboard boxes are lightweight yet sturdy, making them the most popular material option for product boxes. It goes well with vibrant colors and a matte finish when printed on.

Hot Foil Stamping Hot Foil Stamping

The hot foil stamping technique applies gold or silver foil to the box using a heated metal die and press. As the die interacts with the surface, the foil binds to it, resulting in a metallic foil effect. This adds a luxurious and shiny finish, giving the surface a captivating metalized look.

UV Printing UV Printing

The Ultra-violet (UV) coating is a liquid application layered on printed paperboard and cured through a UV radiation process. It serves as the ideal option when your product requires enhanced protection against external elements, such as sunlight or humidity.

Embossing Embossing

Embossing adds a touch of refinement to cardboard boxes. This technique creates raised patterns or designs on the surface, providing a tactile and visually appealing dimension to your packaging.

Debossing Debossing

Debossing creates a subtle effect by pressing designs or patterns into the surface, adding a touch of suaveness. It elevates your packaging to a new level of refinement and enhances the feel and quality of your product presentation.

Matte Matte

A matte finish gives your classic cardboard boxes a sleek and modern look. This option reduces glare and also adds a touch of sophistication to the packaging. The muted surface complements a variety of colors and printing techniques, providing an understated yet premium feel to your product presentation.

Gloss Gloss

A glossy finish on your custom boxes provides a polished and vibrant appearance. This option adds a reflective sheen to the surface, enhancing the richness of colors and creating a visually striking effect. It adds a sense of luxury to your packaging.

Soft Touch Soft Touch

A soft-touch finish gives your boxes a luxurious feel. This velvety texture adds a tactile dimension and also conveys a sense of refinement and premium quality. It elevates the consumer experience with packaging that looks subtle, creating a lasting impression of elegance.

What Is a Custom Coffee Sleeve?

A coffee sleeve is a paper band that wraps around a disposable cup. It sits between the hot cup and your customer's hand, so drinks stay easy to carry. A custom sleeve adds your logo, colors, or message to that band. It turns a plain white cup into branded packaging that travels to offices, cars, and sidewalks every day.

Sleeve or Double-Wall Cup?

A sleeve adds insulation to a low-cost single-wall cup. A double-wall cup has insulation built in, but it costs more per unit and must be printed as a full cup. Sleeves cost less to brand, store flat, and let you change your design each season without reordering cups. Many cafés keep one plain cup and switch sleeve designs.

Who Orders Custom Sleeves

Any business that serves hot drinks to go can use custom sleeves. Cafés and drive-throughs are the obvious fit, but roasters, bakeries, and juice bars use them too. Offices, hotels, and event planners order short runs for meetings, weddings, and trade shows. Many cafés match their sleeves with custom coffee boxes and coffee tins, so every item on the counter looks the same.

Coffee Sleeve Styles

Urgent Boxes makes coffee sleeves in four styles. Each one changes three things: how the sleeve feels in the hand, how much heat it blocks, and how much of it you can print. Corrugated gives the most heat protection. Embossed and smooth sleeves give the biggest print area. Die-cut sleeves add a custom shape. Use the table below to compare them.

Style Feel Insulation Print Area Best for
Corrugated Smooth outside, fluted inside Highest Outer face Very hot drinks, busy cafés
Embossed (dimpled) Raised dot texture Good Full wrap Full-color art on a budget
Smooth paperboard Flat and firm Moderate Full wrap Sharp logos and photo prints
Die-cut shaped Custom edge or tab lock Depends on stock Full wrap Events and seasonal promos

Which style should you pick? If you serve very hot drinks in busy hours, choose corrugated. It gives the best grip and heat block. If your design uses photos or full color art, choose embossed or smooth, since both print edge to edge. For launches, holidays, or events, a die-cut sleeve with a shaped edge helps your cup stand out.

Standard Coffee Sleeve Sizes

Paper cups are wider at the top than the bottom, and each cup size has its own taper. That means a sleeve must be cut to match the cup, or it will slide down or split at the seam. We offer four standard sleeve sizes that cover most US cups. The chart below shows which cups each size fits and its approximate flat size.

Sleeve size Fits Approx. flat width Height
Small 8 oz hot cups 4.4 in (113 mm) 2.4 in (60 mm)
Medium 10 oz, also most 12 oz 4.9 in (124 mm) 2.4 in (60 mm)
Large 12, 16, and 20 oz hot cups 4.9 in (124 mm) 2.4 in (62 mm)
Extra large 16 to 24 oz cold cups Custom die Custom die

How To Measure Your Cup

If you are not sure which size you need, measure your cup before you order. It takes two minutes and a ruler. Accurate numbers help us pick the right die line, so the sleeve sits snug and does not slide. If your cup is an uncommon brand, mailing us one sample cup is the fastest way to get a perfect fit.

  • Measure across the top rim of the cup.
  • Measure across the cup about 2.5 inches below the rim.
  • Note the cup brand and ounce size.
  • Send the numbers, or mail us a sample cup.

Custom sizes and shapes

Not every cup fits a standard sleeve. Some specialty and imported cups have a steeper taper or a taller body. For these, we build a new die line from your measurements or sample cup. We can also cut shaped top edges or make tab-lock sleeves that close without glue. Custom dies may add a one-time setup cost.

Paper Stock and Materials

The stock you choose sets the sleeve's weight, heat block, and print quality. Thicker corrugated board holds more air, so it blocks more heat. Thinner paperboard prints sharper colors and fine text. We match stock to style, so you do not need to guess. The table shows the stock and thickness we use for each sleeve style.

Style Stock Thickness
Corrugated Kraft or white E-flute, micro-flute About 1.5 mm
Embossed Kraft or white paperboard 14pt to 18pt
Smooth SBS or kraft board 300 to 400 gsm

Kraft or White

Kraft board has a natural brown color and a rustic feel. It suits coffee roasters, organic cafés, and eco brands. White SBS (solid bleached sulfate) board has a bright, clean surface, so colors look richer and photos print sharper. Both work with all four styles. If you want a light logo on kraft, we can print white ink under your colors.

Recyclable Options

Paper sleeves printed with water-based inks can go in most US curbside recycling bins. Kraft and corrugated stock often use recycled fiber, which lowers your packaging footprint. To keep sleeves easy to recycle, choose a water-based (AQ) coating instead of plastic lamination. Foil and heavy spot UV also add non-paper layers, so use them on small areas only.

Printing and Finishes

Printing is what turns a plain sleeve into a brand tool. The right method depends on three things: your order size, your sleeve style, and how detailed your artwork is. Every order includes a free digital proof and 3D mockup, so you see your colors and layout before anything prints. Below are the methods and finishes we offer.

Printing Methods and Colors

We print coffee sleeves three ways. Offset printing gives the sharpest full-color results on smooth and embossed stock. Flexography works best on corrugated sleeves and large runs of one to four colors. Digital printing suits short runs and test designs, since it needs no plates. For exact brand colors across every reorder, we match your PMS codes.

Color options: full CMYK, 1 to 4 spot colors, PMS match, or plain unprinted.

Finishes and Add-ons

A finish protects the print and changes how the sleeve looks and feels. Matte AQ gives a soft, low-glare look. Gloss AQ makes colors pop. Spot UV adds shine to just your logo. Foil, embossing, and raised ink give a premium touch for holiday or gift cups. You can also add a matching lid seal with custom stickers.

How to Order Custom Coffee Sleeves

Ordering takes three simple steps, and our team helps at each one. You do not need a finished design file. Send your logo in any common format, and our designers will build a print-ready layout for free. Nothing goes to press until you approve the proof, and your sleeves ship flat and glued, ready to slip onto cups.

  • Send your cup size, style, quantity, and logo.
  • Approve your free digital proof and 3D mockup.
  • We print, glue, and ship your sleeves flat in 8 to 10 business days.

Coffee sleeves are designed to get wrapped around the coffee cups. They are made from eco-friendly materials. Moreover, they are cost-effective and customizable.

Match the sleeve to your cup's ounce size. An 8 oz cup needs a small sleeve because its body is narrower. One large sleeve fits most 12, 16, and 20 oz hot cups, which covers most café menus. Cold plastic cups need the extra-large size. If you are unsure, send your cup brand or a sample cup.

The minimum order is 100 sleeves. This is lower than many US suppliers, who often start at 1,000. A small first run lets you test a new design, check the fit on your cups, or brand a single event.

They work with cold beverages but they are not as effective.

Corrugated sleeves block more heat, and embossed sleeves give more print space. Corrugated sleeves have a fluted inner layer that traps air between the cup and the hand. Embossed sleeves use thinner board with a raised dot texture, and they print edge to edge in full color. Pick corrugated for very hot drinks and embossed for bold artwork.

Yes, paper sleeves printed with water-based inks can be recycled in most US curbside programs. Kraft and corrugated stock often contain recycled fiber as well.
